Pastor Eddie Killian grew up in Ringgold, Georgia. As a third-grade
boy at Fellowship Baptist Church,
he accepted the Lord Jesus Christ as his personal Savior. During
his teenage years, he began attending Temple Baptist Church in Chattanooga,
Tennessee under the ministry of T. D. Burgess. Here, he actively
served in the youth department and soon surrendered to the call
of God to preach. The November following his graduation from Ringgold
High School, he and Jill Brock were married.
At Temple Baptist, Pastor Killian began to serve as assistant pastor.
During his four-year tenure as assistant pastor, he and his wife
had their first child, Jeremy. In 1979, God called Pastor Killian
to Galilean Baptist Church in Tampa, Florida. While serving in this
ministry, Jill gave birth to their second child, April. In the following
years, he pastored Mashulaville Baptist Church in Mississippi, where
he and his wife had their third child, Mitchell, and Moses Road
Baptist Church in Hixson, Tennessee.
In 1989, God brought Pastor Killian to Bethel Baptist Church in
Riverview, Florida. During his ministry here, God blessed the church
in a great way. In 1992, the Lord allowed him, along with three
other pastors, to establish Hillsborough Baptist School, where he
was president of the school board for several years. After nine
years of a God-blessed ministry in Florida, the Holy Spirit led
Pastor Killian and his family to Boonville, North Carolina and New
Hope Baptist Church, where he remained until the end of 2002.
Pastor Killian took Linwood Baptist Church the first Sunday of
January 2003. Here he anticipates God moving in a great way through
the lives of the people of Linwood Baptist Church. The Lord has
opened a great and effectual door here in La Fayette, Georgia and
God willing many people will be reached and many lives will be changed
through the outreach of this church.
