	The Doctrine of Linwood Baptist Church


	We believe that the Bible is the inspired, infallable, Word of God. We believe that the King James Bible is the Word of God, intact, for English speaking peoples. We believe the Local New Testament Church is a visible body, an organization. It was founded by Jesus Christ, Himself when He was on this earth. He "called out" from all of His disciples, 12 Apostles, and with them, He began/started, the first church. The local church has two (2) ordinances: Baptism and the Lord's Supper. They have NO saving grace attached to them at all. Only the local church has the authority to baptize and to serve the Lord's Supper. Baptism is by immersion, as taught in Scripture. It it a picture of the death, burial and resurrection of Jesus Christ. It is administered to a new convert after they have received Christ as Saviour. They are baptized into the local church that baptizes them. The Lord's Supper is administered by the local church. It shows the Lord's death until He returns or comes again. The two elements of the Lord's Supper are unleavened bread and the fruit of the vine (unfermented wine or grape juice). It has NO saving grace. We believe in the premillenial Second Coming of Jesus Christ and the pretribulational rapture of the church. There is a Heaven that awaits all who have accepted Jesus Christ. There is a literal hell that awaits all people who refuse to accept Jesus Christ as their own personal Saviour. Any one can be saved if they will receive Jesus Christ as their own personal Saviour.
